Inevitably, innovative building, design and management technologies will have a huge impact on future architecture. Our homes, offices, shops, schools, museums, public spaces will get smarter, more responsive, more comfortable, and will save more energy. And we will witness flourishing aesthetical variety for sure.
But no matter, how contemporary, alluring in form, intriguing with new materials and structures architecture would be, I really hope and wish that a human being would remain the central task, the main reason of any design solution. I believe that art of architecture should create an environment that encourages cohesion, understanding and empathy to each other and responsibility towards the rest of the world around us. While shaping spaces, programming certain scenarios and atmospheres, architecture has a power to infulence how a person and society feels, thinks and behaves. □
